23 hours south on an island just off the coast of Texas, lies a community of people unlike any other; thier lives left in complete disarray after the recent and destructive Hurricane Ike blew away much of the residential culture. Many of the people on this island, have never set foot off the island their entire lives! We have the opportunity to help them rebuild and restore some of what was lost in the terrible storm. We will also take the initiative to share with these people something even more important than our services: The message that God loves them and has made a way for us to know Him! We're leaving the Saturday morning of break (February 28) and returning the following Friday (March 6).
